Coworking as a movement shares community, collaboration, openness, sustainability, and accessibility as core values. The values are intentionally vague and open to interpretation.
At points I have found myself using the same statements to describe coworking. I have listed a few of my go-to statements (disclosure: some statements were found on other coworking blogs and space sites).
Coworking is often misunderstood. Most times when I mention I am working to establish a coworking office in Loveland I get a puzzled look. Once I explain what it is, there is usually an “Oh I get it” statement.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to take part in the Occupy Cohere Week with Angel and the Cohere Community in Ft Collins.
Each individual coworking office has it’s own unique community, created by the individuals using the space. It may have a tech/web developer feel, an urban hipster feel, a freelancer/independent vibe.
